Hanging out with alpacas 15 min plus visit of Santa’s Pets

During the alpaca experience, you will enter the alpacas’ enclosure. You can feed them treats and earn their trust. We will take photos with the alpacas and spend time together with them. You will spend 15 minutes inside the enclosure. The entrance ticket to Santa’s Pets is included in the price of this experience, and it is valid throughout the opening hours for one day: this means that you will also have a chance to see the other animals independently (naturally outside their enclosures).

Spending time with alpacas is usually very calm and even slightly meditative. They are not attention-seeking in the same way as dogs, but are more like curious observers. Alpacas generally do not enjoy hugs the way some domestic animals do, but they often approach people on their own to sniff and investigate them. They respond well to calm energy and patience — and people often do the same in return. The herd dynamic is important: if one alpaca dares to come closer, the others usually follow.

Alpacas’ presence is gentle and slightly comical: their long necks, expressive faces, and cautious behaviour easily make people laugh. Silence is an important part of the experience. They do not like loud noises or sudden movements.

A child under 10 years of age must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Guests are welcome to use our Lapland hut (kota) and campfire/barbecue area. Snacks and drinks can be purchased from the elf’s store.
