We offer a fun 30min outing where you get to walk Santa’s alpacas through the forest near Santa Claus Village. After your safety briefing we’ll pair you up with an alpaca and get ready for the walk! The pace is leisurely: they like to stop and nibble on the fruits of the forest. Take as many snaps as you like to remember your lovely day. Entrance is included in the price.

Questions and answers about alpaca walking

What happens to an Alpaca Experience?

When buying a ticket, you can choose between 30 minutes or 1 hour experience. You arrive at the office of Santa’s Pets where you show your ticket. The activity will start on site. There may be other customers at the activity at the same time, so please arrive on time because others cannot wait.

After your safety briefing, we’ll pair you up with an alpaca and get ready for the walk! Off we’ll go, taking a steady pace. You will walk the alpacas through the forest near Santa Claus Village. Take as many snaps as you like to remember your lovely day. You will be always accompanied by a guide. Walking in the forest is safe and alpacas are sensitive and peaceful animals. You just enjoy nature and the lovely fluffy alpacas.

Who can take part?

We don’t recommend small children. The ground is unsuitable for pushchairs. We advise parents of very young children to look at Santa’s Pets visit instead. Everyone else taking part should be capable of walking a fair distance over bumpy and often muddy ground. And in the winter in the snowy ground.

Can I see reindeer and other animals with the same ticket?

Yes. The entrance ticket to the park is included in the price of the alpaca walk. Walking with the alpacas is at a specific time but the entrance ticket is valid all day from 11.00-18.00. You can meet all the animals. You can feed the reindeer if you buy a bag of food for 5€.

Are the campfire sites in use?

Yes. You can buy sausages, drinks, marshmallows, etc. from us and grill and enjoy by the fire.

What should I do if not everyone in my family wants to participate in the walk?

You can book them for entrance tickets. They can spend time in the area watching other animals, enjoying drinks in the hut, etc.

What if I would like to come in a large group?

We welcome large groups. Please email us if you would like to make a large booking.

Which tickets do I need?

Alpacas are herd animals and won’t walk alone. You can reserve a ticket for one person, but if there are not at least 2 participants, the event will be canceled. Please choose an appropriate age ticket.

Can children walk alone?

No. All children under 15 must be always accompanied and supervised by a full paying adult. Children aged 10-15 can walk their own alpaca but must be accompanied by a fully paid adult walking their own alpaca

Can a 3–9-year-old walk an alpaca alone?

No. A 3–9-year-old walks an alpaca together with an adult. Each participant aged 3-100 years of experience needs a ticket.

Do all participants need a ticket and do I need a ticket if I don’t want my own alpaca?

Yes. Each participant aged 3-100 years of experience needs a ticket.

Do I need a ticket if I just want to accompany and take photos?

Yes. Each participant aged 3-100 years of experience needs a ticket.

Can a 0–2-year-old participate?

Yes. Babies may be carried in backpacks. You need your own one.

Do I need my own shoes and clothing suitable for the forest?

Yes.

Can an alpaca spit?

Sometimes, rarely, it can, but not normally. Alpacas are safe and sensitive animals.
