Villa Arctic River

Welcome to follow the construction of Villa Arctic River!

On this page, you can follow the progress of our new cosy holiday rental villa throughout 2026. The villa is located in Rovaniemi on the banks of the Kemijoki River. Construction will be completed in summer 2026, after which landscaping, the construction of the kota, and other finishing work will take place. The villa will be available for rent from autumn 2026.

Villa Arctic River is located about 13 km from the centre of Rovaniemi and the railway station (approximately a 20-minute drive). The distance to Santa Claus Village and Rovaniemi Airport is about 16 km, which also means around a 20-minute drive.

Villa Arctic River is not a resort, but a private retreat where you can enjoy peace and quiet, as there is only one villa on the large plot. However, it is still close to all services.

This magnificent log villa, to be completed in summer 2026, offers approximately 80 square metres plus a loft and is suitable for up to six people. The villa includes a living room with kitchen, two bedrooms, a sauna, a bathroom, a utility room, a toilet, and a loft. The downstairs bedrooms accommodate four people, and the loft accommodates two. One bedroom has a high-quality double bed, and the other has single beds.

The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing delicious meals and includes tableware and a dining set for six, so everyone can enjoy dining together in comfort and privacy.

In the living room, you can enjoy the warmth of the fireplace while admiring magnificent river views. In summer, the beautiful open river landscape is truly enchanting.

The villa features a wonderful sauna area where you can relax after a day outdoors. You can also step into the hot tub on the terrace to enjoy the fresh air and warm water.

If you wish, you may heat the small lakeside sauna, a genuine traditional Finnish cottage sauna. In winter (weather permitting), you can roll in clean, fresh snow the Finnish way before returning to the warmth of the sauna. In summer, you can swim in the clean waters of the Ounasjoki River.

There is plenty of space in the yard for playing in the snow. You can also use the lakeside hut (laavu), where you may roast marshmallows by the fire and enjoy the scenery.

In clear weather, you may even be lucky enough to see the stunning Northern Lights.

The villa will be available for booking in spring:
