Know before you go – Santa’s Pet in Santa Claus Village
The yard is open year-round. How do I see animals in cold weather or rain?
During winter, some animals stay indoors.
Reindeer are always outdoors and enjoy it. Alpacas are also mostly outdoors, as are sheep, goats, and donkeys.
Rabbits may be either indoors or outdoors, and chickens are kept indoors.
The rabbit cottage has a large window where you can observe the rabbits up close. The same applies to the chickens.
In extremely cold weather, sheep, goats, and donkeys stay in the stable, where they can be viewed inside the stable or at the stable entrance.
There are eight alpacas, and we rotate them so that some are outdoors while others are indoors.
During the summer season, the animals spend most of their time in the outdoor enclosures. In rainy weather, many of them prefer to stay under shelter.
If the animals are not visible, please inform a member of staff and we will be happy to help.
You are around animals at your own risk.
This is an outdoor area — please dress for the weather.
Dogs
Dogs can visit our premises. You must keep your dog on a leash at all times. If the dog barks, the visit will not be possible and you must leave the area.
Tickets
No pre-booking is needed for the visits. Tickets are purchased on arrival. We accept cash and most common debit and credit cards.
Walks with reindeer and alpacas, as well as excursions, need to be booked in advance.
